Membership Renewal
This is the season to renew membership or to join Young Israel for the first time. Members are requested to return their membership form to the Shul together with payment. Payments may also be arranged through PayPal. Please email membershipyiwrp@gmail.com with any questions.

Memorial for Dr. Chasman
Young Israel of West Rogers Park will be engraving a leaf on our Eitz Chaim in memory of Dr. Richard Chasman, z"l. If you would like to contribute to this leaf, please make a donation of any amount by check or via PayPal, with a memo indicating the purpose of your gift. Thank you to those who have already donated.

Shiurim (classes)

Unless otherwise specified, shiurim and classes take place in the Arthur & Sally Dordek Library at Young Israel. All are welcome to participate in any of the shiurim.

  • Rabbi Prero's shiur on Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik's sefer, Al Hateshuva, On Repentence, will meet on Monday night at 8:15pm.

  • The Navi (Prophets) shiur will meet on Wednesday night at 8:30pm. The class is currently learning the book of Yehoshua (Joshua). Participants may use the Judaica Press (English) edition or the Mossad HaRav Kook (Hebrew) edition. Learning is dedicated to the memory of Dr. RIchard Chasman, z"l. For more information, please speak with Robbin Katzin.

Community Announcements


Chicago Safety Network (CSN)  is presenting a safety seminar entitled "Situational Awareness for Shul Greeters" on August 23rd. Details are available here.

There is an AA meeting at YIWRP every Tuesday from 7:30-8:30pm. it is a beginners meeting and open to those interested in recovering from alcholism.
