Safety at Shul
At this time of heightened concern about the safety of Jews throughout the country, Young Israel of West Rogers Park has introduced a locked-door policy, which went into effect following the massacre in Pittsburgh. The Shul will make every effort to position a volunteer by the front door to safely welcome friends and members to our davening, classes, meetings, and other programs.  If you come to Shul at one of these times and see that a greeter is not present, please knock for entry.  Thanks for your understanding.

If you would like to sponsor a Kiddush, Seudah Shelishit, or other shul program, please send an email to

Shiurim (classes)

Unless otherwise specified, shiurim and classes take place in the Arthur & Sally Dordek Library at Young Israel. All are welcome to participate in any of the shiurim.

Dear Neighbor,

The 24th District Police have informed me that they have taken a suspect into custody regarding the recent string of car vandalism throughout the area. The offender was arrested after additional car windows were broken last night.

As suspected, the vandalism does not appear to have been a hate crime. Thank you to all the hardworking police officers and detectives who worked on this case!

If you have any questions about this case or the ongoing investigation, please contact the 24th District CAPS Office at (312) 744-6321 or
