Safety at Shul
At this time of heightened concern about the safety of Jews throughout the country, Young Israel of West Rogers Park has introduced a locked-door policy, which went into effect following the massacre in Pittsburgh. The Shul will make every effort to position a volunteer by the front door to safely welcome friends and members to our davening, classes, meetings, and other programs.  If you come to Shul at one of these times and see that a greeter is not present, please knock for entry.  Thanks for your understanding.

If you would like to sponsor a Kiddush, Seudah Shelishit, or other shul program, please send an email to kiddush@yiwrp.com

Shiurim (classes)

Unless otherwise specified, shiurim and classes take place in the Arthur & Sally Dordek Library at Young Israel. All are welcome to participate in any of the shiurim.

  • The Navi Shiur (Prophets Class), which is currently learning the book of Shoftim/Judges, will meet on the second day of Shavuot, Monday, 6/10 at 7:00pm in lieu of its regular Wednesday evening time. All are welcome. Learning is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Richard Chasman, z"l. For more information, please speak with Robbin Katzin.
