Young Israel of West Rogers Park wishes its members and friends a Shabbat Shalom!
On Monday night, December 4, at Ma'ariv, we begin adding the words "v'tein tal umatar livrachah" ("and grant dew and rain as a blessing") in the 9th blessing of the Amidah, the Blessing of Years.

Kiddush, Simchas and Events
Young Israel of West Rogers Park's next Musical Cafe, Chanukah Edition
The Voyage, including vocalist Efrayim Prero, will perform at our Musical Cafe on Saturday night, December 16, the 5th light of Chanukah. Come enjoy music, sufganiyot, and chanukah gelt, together with the regular offerings of our Musical Cafes. Doors will open at 7:45pm. The Voyage will perform at 8:00pm.

Unless otherwise specified, shiurim and classes take place in the Arthur & Sally Dordek Library at Young Israel. All are welcome to participate in any of the shiurim.
Rabbi Prero's shiur on Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik's sefer, Al Hateshuva, On Repentence, will meet on Monday, December 4, at 8:15pm.
- The Navi (Prophets) shiur will meet on Wednesday, December 6, at 8:30pm. The class is currently learning the book of Joshua. Participants may use the Judaica Press (English) edition or the Mossad HaRav Kook (Hebrew) edition. For more information, please speak with Dr. Richard Chasman or Robbin Katzin.
There is an AA meeting at YIWRP every Tuesday from 7:30-8:30pm. it is a beginners meeting and open to those interested in recovering from alcholism.
